Introduction
We start our trek driving first to Jiri
(1,867m.) a 170 Km. mountain run. The trek then
begins walking with a climb to the ridge top at
2400 metres then drop down to Shivalaya
(1,768m.) and towards Bhandar (2,194m.). Since
reaching this village we have been in Sherpa
Country and will continue through land populated
by these hardy ethno clan, as far as the upper
most of pasture lands beneath Mt. Everest.
We also have the option to visit Everest Ice
fall or Expedition Base Camp, depending on how
fit we are when we are at Gorakshep.
Return journey is made via Pheriche, Thyangboche
( a famous monastery site much highlighted in
the media by photographers, journalists and the
heritage societies ), Namche and finally to
Lukla to conclude this Mt. Everest trek, as a
great experience for a life time.
Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu. Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu. Sightseeing tours.
Day 03: Drive to Jiri. (1,867 m.) 6-7 hrs
journey.
Day 04: Trek to Shivalaya. (1,768 m.) 5-6 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Bhandar. (2,194 m.) 5-6 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Sete (2,575 m.) 5-6 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Junbesi. (2,675 m.) 5-6 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Nunthala. (2,320 m.) 5-6 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Bupsa via Kharikhola. (2,372 m.)
6-7 hrs.
Day 10: Trek to Surkhe. (2,535 m.) 5-6 hrs.
Day 11: Trek to Phakding. (2,652 m.)
Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazaar. (3,440 m.) 5-6
hrs.
Day 13: At Namche Bazaar. Rest day for
acclimatization.
Day 14: Trek to Thyangboche. (3,868 m.) 4-5 hrs.
Day 15: Trek to Dingboche. (4,400m) 5 hrs.
Day 16: Trek to Lobuje. (4,857 m.) 4-5 hrs.
Day 17: Trek to Gorak Shep. (5,180m) and to
Everest BC. 5-6 hrs.
Day 18: From Gorak Shep. ascent to Kalapattar
5,545m and trek Pheriche.
Day 19: Trek to Thyangboche. 4-5 hrs.
Day 20: Trek to Monjo. 5-6 hrs.
Day 21: Trek to Lukla. (2,800 m.) 4-5 hrs.
Day 22: Fly to Kathmandu.
Day 23: In Kathmandu.
Day 24: International Departure.
